Superficial movie geek entry

Firstly, my sister bought me one of those books of film posters for my birthday, and she picked just the right decade, the 70s. Will have to scan some and do stuff with them, but just must say that I want Al Pacino’s beard in Serpico.

Secondly, just watched the trailer for the new Matrix film. Cheesy dialogue and Keanu aside, ohmygod that’s a pretty fucking sexy film. New standards in eye candy soundtracked with nu-metal? You betcha! Can’t wait.

Thirdly, another trailer - The Italian Job. Let me see… Mark Wahlberg and my very favourite Ed Norton, with my other very favourite Donald Sutherland. Can that compete with Michael Caine and Noel Coward (not forgetting Benny Hill)? Well, let’s also throw Seth Green into the mix. All good, but it still leaves the Mini question. I guess if there was ever a time to remake the Italian Job, it was now. And I have to say, those new Cooper S’s look pretty darn cool and mini-like in the trailer. But those who know me know I’m a new mini convert, and I know other old miniheads will be harder sells! No doubt it will be terrible. Hang on lads, I’ve got a great idea…
