How many Oysters can an Oyster Shucker Shuck?
400 dozen a day.

This man does it at the South Melbourne Markets.
Moving here is on my agenda (again).
Cons
I have more acquaintances in Perth than Melbourne
Life in Perth is easy and comfortable - is that a bad thing?
I love shorts and I can't wear them nor enjoy vitamin D
I couldn't eat roast dinner with my family whenever I liked
I'd have to start over with work and re-network
Pros
I have more friends in Melbourne than Perth
Life in Perth isn't challenging - I should take a risk
I love scarves and I can actually wear them
I could eat and drink at a different place every night of the year
I'd get pushed into having greater, more unique opportunities
Still undecided, but swaying 40 degrees to a move...

Do it lady, you'll be awesome wherever you go!
Mind, you'll still have to update us on life via the web page (:

Is Melbourne about to claim another Perth creative?!
I hope you continue to have unique and exciting opportunities wherever you are.

Nat,
no risk, no fun, no development.
If you want to grow, you have to take risks.
Go for it!!!
I just moved to the US - was feeling the same way
as you.
Cheers

we can tag team, you come to perth, I'll move back home. As much as it's great toeat in a new place every night, nothing beats the home cooked roast and mum hugs...

you know, it IS tough being far away from your fam. but it also makes you appreciate them more. if moving to melbourne is a dream you've had for a while, i'd say - go for it. :)

Friends and risk seem to tip that scale right over. Easy isn't all it's cracked up to be (but the humans are addicted).
I moved to Melbourne a couple of years ago from Brisvegas and to be honest I wish I'd followed the creative exodus down here years ago. It's a city with a culture and a people willing to tell you your ideas and dreams are possible.
PS. The weather is crap there's no getting around it :)

nat, I've said it before (maybe not to you but I half expected its echo to have reached your ears), and I will say it as many times over as I have to: if you are thinking of leaving wherever it is you are, just....
DO IT; IF YOU LEAVE & IT DOESN'T WORK YOU CAN ALWAYS COME BACK. IF YOU DON'T LEAVE & IT DOESN'T WORK YOU CAN'T... HAVE LEFT.
This piece of wisdom makes up a large enough percentage of my advice stock that I should really learn how to phrase it logically. In any case, if you are in two minds, the worst reason for staying somewhere is that it is so easy and comfortable; this is just further evidence that you are lucky to have such a place to return to should everything go t over a.
I rest my case.... here

Melbourne weather is interesting, we have seasons, you get to wear all sorts of different clothes. And just for the record, it rarely rains...we're in the middle of a drought. Statistically less rain than Sydney even when rainfall is 'normal'.
I'm biased because I've always lived here.
