Post work trauma

Last night was one of those ones where I strut about my apartment wondering what people do with themselves after work.
Why am I lost for ideas I wonder... oh god, do I have any interests?
I can't remember anything.
Maybe I've made 'work' out of all my 'fun'.

I want to have some fun!

All I could come up with was cup cakes.

I've decided to make a big list on my wall of all the things I wish I was doing when I'm at work so I can remember them when I get home.

sounds like one of those unfinished sentences:

"when I'm not working, I'm ..."
- making sushi
- listening to japanese pop music
- swimming at the local pool

hehe...the list could go on for a while....

seriously, give me some ideas! Fun things that take no more than 3 hours...

ok how about:

- watch an episode (or a few) of 'The Forsyte Saga' (I am hooked on the drama, the fashion and the scandal!).

- make mix cds / tapes for friends

- go for a bike ride

- take a dance class?

(whaddya reckon, Nat?)

I'm definitely getting hooked on series. Now it's 'curb your enthusiasm' which is so bad it's good...

And I'm definitely thinking about dance. I used to do some swing, but my male friend insisted on doing solos constantly, leaving me stranded on the dance floor and almost ending our friendship! hehe... so maybe I should take up belly dancing or flamenco which don't rely on anyone else! ay.....

Last night I tooted on my saxophone for the first time in years... and that's got me dreaming again!

"when I'm not working I'm..."
- drawing a plot of where the creaks are in the floor-boards.
- wandering stores with rules about objects, touching things I'll never buy.
- walking to where friends work to pester them into surprise-coffee or surprise-trips to the aquarium.
- trying to solve problems like do animals have blood types? why is there always one teaspoon left in the sink after I wash the dishes? what is exactly is chicory?

There is always one spoon in the sink after doing the dishes because a coffee seems like such a good idea after washing up (:
