It was listening to this Boyzone song, over and over, as the tape played through to the end and then turned it self over to finnegan beginnigan (it was the only English tape the driver and I could find at a dusty street stall) during a 10 hour drive across Sri Lanka a few months back that I realised, truly realised, how fucking stupidly awfully bad bad BAD song lyrics can be.
These are the things I remeber while standing in a Christams crazed line at Big W on a Tuesday afternoon holding an arm-full of baby booties and bibs…. as the Boyzone Christmas album plays merrily throughout the store and gets the lady infront of me humming.
